Yupoo, Taobao, Weidian and 1688 Links: What They Actually Tell You
A source name tells you where the row came from. It does not tell you whether the listing is current, the selected option is right, or the page is safe to use.
Yupoo: useful for pictures, often missing purchase details
Yupoo pages are often used as image catalogs. They may help you inspect colors, product families, or contact information, but a catalog page may not show a current price, live stock, measurements, or a direct purchase path. Use it for pictures, then look for the product page if price, stock, or size is missing.
Taobao: check the listing and selected option
A Taobao link may contain variants, seller information, listing images, and current marketplace details. Confirm that the visible product and selected variant match the spreadsheet row. Translated titles can be imprecise, so compare images, specifications, and option names together.
Weidian: check the exact listing and option
Weidian links can lead to store or product pages. A store link is not the same as an item link, and a broad product page may contain several options. Save the row only when you can find the exact product page and selected option.
1688: check the unit and quantity
1688 is commonly associated with wholesale sourcing. Minimum quantities, packaging units, variants, and seller terms can change what the displayed price means. Do not assume a displayed unit price represents the final single-item situation.
Original links, raw links, and converted links
An original or raw link helps preserve the underlying source. A converter may rewrite that URL for another interface, but it does not verify the product or seller. Keep the original when possible so you can compare destinations if the converted page becomes unclear.
Before you keep the link
- The destination domain is the one you expected.
- The item category and main images match the row.
- The relevant variant is visible and selectable.
- Measurements, specifications, or source details have not disappeared.
- Current terms are checked on the service you will actually use.

Converted route: if used
Match check: title, photos, and selected option
Keeping both links helps if the converted page changes or stops working. You can also see which destination you actually checked.
Worked example: a converted link opens the wrong option
A spreadsheet row describes a black jacket, but the converted route opens a store page with several colors and no option selected. Return to the original source, identify the exact product and variant, then compare the converted destination again. If the match remains unclear, do not save the route as though it were specific.
When the source is unclear
Do not guess. Search the visible title or category inside Findsindex, compare nearby results, or return to the spreadsheet and choose a row with a cleaner source path. An unclear source is a reason to pause, not a puzzle you must solve.
