How to Audit a Hoobuy Spreadsheet Row in Five Minutes

A five-minute check helps you stop wasting time on rows that hide the basics. It does not prove the item is good; it only tells you whether there is enough information to keep looking.

Minute 1: write down the job of the item

Before judging the row, describe what you need in one sentence: “a lightweight jacket with measured chest width,” or “a small shoulder bag with a visible interior.” This prevents an attractive image from changing the question halfway through your search.

If it is the wrong kind of item, close it now; every extra check after that is wasted time.

Minute 2: ask the photos one specific question

Do not count images. Decide which detail would make you reject or keep the row. For shoes, that may be the sole and size label. For a bag, it may be interior space and strap length. For clothing, it is often measurements, seams, fabric surface, and front-to-back shape.

Minute 3: check measurements and variants

Look for the exact variant you intend to compare. A row can show a useful photo but link to several colors, materials, or sizes. Confirm that measurements refer to the same version. Familiar size letters are weak evidence when the measurement table is missing or unclear.

Minute 4: open the destination carefully

Check that the source page matches the row label and product type. Note whether the link is a visual catalog, marketplace listing, or search page. A converted link may help navigation, but conversion does not verify the listing, seller, stock, or policy.

Minute 5: put it beside two similar rows

Place the row beside two or three similar finds. Compare visible price, photo usefulness, measurements, source clarity, and likely shipping impact. Do not award a row simply because it is cheapest. Missing information can make a low price impossible to evaluate.

Worked example: two jacket rows

Row A has a clear jacket label, front and back views, chest and length measurements, a specific source page, and a garment-weight note. Row B has a stronger hero image and a lower visible price, but no measurements and a destination with several unrelated variants.

Keep Row A for the next comparison. It answers more of the questions you actually have. That still does not prove quality or final cost. Leave Row B out until you can find the missing measurements and the right product page.

Record the result in one line

Keep · research · remove
Reason: category fit + strongest evidence + largest unanswered question

This small note prevents you from reopening the same weak row later and forgetting why it failed.

A simple audit outcome

Keep

The item matches your need, the useful details are visible, and you can explain why it stays.

Research

Mostly relevant, but one important photo, measurement, or source detail is still missing.

Remove

Vague label, mismatched destination, unsupported hype, or too many unanswered questions.

What this audit cannot tell you

It cannot guarantee seller behavior, product quality, authenticity, delivery, refunds, payments, customs outcomes, or current platform policies. Use official channels for account and order questions, and treat every external listing as information you must check yourself.
